The colourful cards, adorned with scribbles and smiles, conveyed heartfelt messages of love and gratitude.

Louise Clarke-Mathers, the client experience officer of the school said their gifts were carefully selected or created with tiny hands which symbolised the joy and pride that fathers bring to our lives.

“As the fathers beamed with pride, their faces aglow with happiness, the stage was set for a truly unforgettable celebration.”

She said the highlight of the Father’s Day celebrations was the Grade 6 Father’s Day breakfast.

The learners and their dads gathered in the school hall so that they could enjoy a good morning of food, laughter, and quality time together.
Clarke-Mathers said the breakfast spread included pancakes, pastries, fresh fruit, and coffee, and were all deliciously prepared by staff and volunteers.

“The tables were set with nice linens and flowers and everyone had a great time chatting and eating together. It was a special moment that students and fathers will remember for a long time.”

With voices that rivalled the suave sophistication of James Bond himself, the learners delivered a show-stopping performance of Skyfall that was skillfully conducted by music teacher Kyle Nel.

“As the melodic notes filled the air, a sense of togetherness and belonging enveloped the room, evoking the spirit of family and community. The fathers and children united in perfect harmony and their bond was stronger than ever.”

Monique Lammerding, the deputy principal was almost too stunned to speak as she gave praise to the learners.

“It’s moments like these that highlight the strong connections we have at Crawford. Our dads play such a vital role in our students’ lives, and today we celebrate all they do. Here’s to all the Crawford dads for their unwavering support, love, and dedication. You are truly appreciated.“
