The Johannesburg Metropolitan Police Department (JMPD) wishes everyone a Happy New Year.

The spokesperson of the JMPD Superintendent Xolani Fihla said, “We send our best wishes for a safe and prosperous New Year to everyone in the community. We want everyone to enjoy themselves sensibly, designate a sober driver if you plan on drinking alcohol and pay attention to your surroundings.

“Let’s make the most of the new year by keeping an eye out for one another and cooperating to keep our neighbourhoods safe.” In 2024, the JMPD looks forward to a safe and secure city of Johannesburg. Fihla elaborated that he would like to excel more in the leadership role that he is in.
