The Johannesburneg Metropolitan Police Department wishes everyone a Merry Christmas

The spokesperson wishes everyone safe travels on the roads this year.

The Johannesburg Metropolitan Police Department (JMPD) would like to wish everyone a happy and safe Christmas as they embrace the festive season.

“We urge everyone to travel safely and be aware of their surroundings. Please do not hesitate to contact the police if you need help or if you are feeling overwhelmed,” said the JMPD spokesperson Superintendent Xolani Fihla.

He added with challenges such as the high level of non-compliance with city by-laws, JMPD would try to overcome these challenges through enforcement and educational campaigns to enlighten residents of the by-laws. Fihla said his Christmas wish for the JMPD this year was to ensure that road accidents and fatalities were significantly reduced this festive season.

His highlight for the year was being promoted from an officer to a superintendent. He would like to thank his colleagues who have done their best to ensure that citizens and visitors to Johannesburg are safe at all times. “Merry Christmas and let us safely enjoy the festive season even when on the roads.”
