‘Hier kom die Bokke’ Fourways residents float on cloud nine for our Boks

From pubs, restaurants, inside and outside the office, school teachers, and kids, Fourways residents made sure to live up to the "stronger together" slogan to back our Boks.

The whole of South Africa was waiting for the big turnaround of the Rugby World Cup finals, and the Springboks did not disappoint when they indeed brought it back home despite the tough competition.

We were left inspired by how the national team brought South Africans together throughout the competition until their ultimate win. The Springboks won the Rugby World Cup finals October 28 in France.

They were playing against New Zealand in France. We have compiled some of the proud moments from Fourways residents that captured our hearts as they did not miss to back our Boks.

The men in green are now preparing to come back home to a hero’s welcome. According to the SA Rugby the Boks are expected to arrive at OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg on October 30.

But before that, the squad graced the prestigious World Rugby Awards gala dinner in Paris on October 29, before they departed France on October 30. As soon as they have landed, the national rugby team would be going on a trophy tour across South Africa.

This is the details of their itinerary as announced by SA Rugby.

q The journey begins in Pretoria, Johannesburg, and Soweto, with a grand conclusion at the FNB Stadium on Thursday, November 2.
q The tour then shifts to Cape Town on Friday, November 3, followed by Durban on Saturday, November 4.
q The final leg of this whirlwind tour will be in the rugby-rich Eastern Cape, specifically East London, on Sunday, November 5.
q The selected tour locations reflect the significant population size of the first three venues, while the choice of the Eastern Cape pays homage to its crucial role and significance in the realm of rugby.
q The times, venues, and intricate destinations for each province will be determined in due course.
