An award-winning comedian from Lonehill has made a name for himself in the past 11 years.

His skills originated from his sense of humour. “It was fate and I get inspiration from other comedians like Chris Rock, Steve Harvey, Trevor Noah, Riaad Moosa, and Loyiso Gola.

The 34-year-old is determined to take comedy to the next level.

The 34-year-old sees comedy as a form of expression, a creative outlet, the opportunity to express opinion and to share his school of thought. “To the public, I feel comedy is a social doctor, a voice for the voiceless, a safe space where they can laugh without feeling oppressed or censored,” said Prins.

His career highlights include performing at the Montreux International Comedy Festival in Switzerland and the Busan International Comedy Festival in South Korea. “I also featured on a show with Trevor Noah called Trevor Noah’s Nationwild. I have also recorded my own one-man comedy special called “Unnecessary” which is on Showmax.

He aims to do more with his career which is why he opened his YouTube channel. With over 500 subscribers on YouTube, Prins is determined to be more famous than he is now. He is also the director of a company called Comedy View where he specialises in comedy shows and comedy services for corporates. ” In the coming years, I hope to get more international exposure and travel. I’d like to perform at the Montreal International Comedy Festival in Canada. I’d like to perform at the Edinburgh International Comedy Festival in Scotland and I’d love to tour London, Asia, Australia and the UAE,” Prins added.
