Local singer’s home tour

As we welcome the month of women, local renowned singer and songwriter Louise Carver is thrilled to announce Home Tour Live.
This specially created theatre show is heading to Pieter Toerien’s Theatre at Montecasino later on in the month.

Carver is a passionate advocator of local music who has long yearned to create a live show that would not only celebrate the songs she loved listening to growing up but also pay tribute to the incredible talent that has emerged in her beloved country.

With her determination, a 75-minute feast for the ears was produced to touch a wide variety of genres that have shaped the South African music landscape. “Unforgettable classics like Paradise Road by Joy, Weeping by Bright Blue, and Too Late for Mama by the legendary Brenda Fassie and more, will take listeners back to the golden eras while it evokes emotions that were as relevant today as they were then. These iconic melodies will be perfectly intertwined with newer South African hits, such as Prime Circle’s infectious Pretty Like the Sun,” Carver said.

She has her own chart-toppers which include Home and Empty Fantasy among others, which will further add to showcase her talent and the depth of her musical prowess. “The show will unfold as a seamless blend of genres, from soulful ballads to upbeat rock anthems, from the heartfelt melodies of yesteryear to the vibrant rhythms of the present. The setlist, along with the storytelling and performances, will transport the audience to a place where memories were made and emotions were stirred. It will also resonate with South Africans, both at home and abroad, serving as a bridge between distant lands and connecting expatriates to their roots.”
