Slight relief as the alleged Paulshof arsonist has been caught by vigilant residents and local security. Lita Jacobsen and other Paulshof residents had pleaded with the community to help them identify the arsonist who was allegedly responsible for a fire started on June 24 on the K60 and then another on July 3. On July 12, the alleged arsonist was caught on camera and the footage helped residents to have a lead on the issue.
According to Jacobsen, with the help of vigilant community members Savika Security has identified and caught the perpetrator. The suspect was apprehended and handed over to the Sandton police for further investigation. According to Savika officials, the suspect was released due to a lack of evidence and the case will go ahead as investigations progress.
Catching the arsonist has brought a sense of relief to residents and security as they can now serve as an example and shows zero tolerance for illegal activities in the area. Savika Security promised to keep the community updated regarding the case, it also thank residents for being vigilant and looking out for the community.
