Mzansi Food and Drink Show at Broadacres

Visitors enjoyed great food and drink tastings, cooking demos, masterclasses, special offers, and a marketplace filled with gastronomic delights at Mzansi Food and Drinks Show.

The Mzansi Food and Drink Show hit Broadacres. This mega food and drink extravaganza incorporated previous events including the hugely popular Coffee and Chocolate Expo and Fire and Feast with new additions; Fine Food and Wine, Bar and Good Spirits, and the Mzansi Food Market.

“We always believed South Africans are ready for a food show of this stature and we made sure it was the biggest and the best culinary show on the African continent,” said Hanli Goncalves, Portfolio Director of the Mzansi Food and Drink Show.

Visitors enjoyed great food and drink tastings, cooking demos, masterclasses, special offers, and a marketplace filled with gastronomic delights. The show delivered a fun-filled event, catering for the whole family, and taking place over a long weekend that includes Youth Day and Father’s Day.

The launch event, which was held at the magnificent Buitengeluk Broadacres Gardens, had as its master of ceremonies, chef Mokgadi Itsweng.

Itsweng is the author of the best-selling cookbook Veggielicious. “We are so proud to be part of the food and drinks event of this calibre. South Africans are well known for their love of all things food and drinks related. We all enjoy sharing eating and drinking experiences with friends and family, and our cuisine reflects the diverse range of culinary traditions embodied by the various communities that inhabit our country.”
