More laughter on new season of Celebrity Game Night

“Me, Jason, and Ayanda have developed into more than just friends, we are now siblings who are having the greatest fun ever, and the new season shows it off," said Anele Mdoda the host of show.

Fan favourite television show Celebrity Game Night is back on our screens.

Viewers can expect to see the first episode of season four debuting this Sunday, April 23.

The new season of the SAFTA Award-winning series is scheduled to start airing at 19:00, on E! Africa (DStv channel 124) on Sunday, with the next day’s episodes being made accessible on Universal+.

A preview screening of the first episode of E! Africa’s Celebrity Game Night, was held on April 6 in Ferndale, Randburg. Fans and team captains Ayanda Thabethe and Jason Goliath geared up for the show’s much-anticipated return.

Team captain, Jason Goliath believes the show is good at making viewers feel secure enough to let their guard down.

“Just when we think that we can’t have any more fun, Celebrity Game Night finds a way to bring in bigger games and new celebrities,” Mdoda said during her speech at the screening event.

Ayanda Thabethe, team captain, with a smile on her face said, “I believe it’s an honour and a joy to be a part of Celebrity Game Night. It makes sense that it would be so popular and continue for a fourth season because it is a show that keeps the entire family entertained. I’ve learned from the show that I’m competitive. I love to win but I’m also a team player. It only gets better and better.”

Team leader Jason Goliath continued, “When I leave the house to go film a new season, I inform my wife I’m off to go drink and play with my buddies because that’s what it actually feels like. We get to peel away a lot of the industry fluff.”

Ayanda Thabethe, team captain will partner up with Yanga Chief, Thuli Phongolo, Emo Adams on the first episode of Celebrity Game Night.

New stars for season four include: Rosemary Zimu, ProVerb, Zozibini Tunzi, Gigi Lamayne, Amanda du-Pont, Jo-Anne Reyneke, Thuli Phongolo, Nomalanga Shozi, TBO Touch, Zakes Bantwini, Anele Zondo, Anton Jeftha, Nadia Jaftha, Emo Adams, Shekinah, SPHEctacula & Naves (Kings of the Weekend), Lusanda Mbane, Simphiwe Ngema, Kurt Schoonraad, Trevor Gumbi, Siphesihle Vazi, Chad Saaiman, Renate Stuurman, Bridget Masinga, DJ Sabby and more.

On the first episode, which will air on Sunday, fans can expect to see Yanga Chief, Thuli Phongolo, Emo Adams for team Ayanda and Karabo Poppy, TBO Touch, and Shimmy Isaacs for team Goliath for an incredible night of non-stop laughs presented by Anele Mdoda.

Pearl Modiadie, Lorna Maseko, Maps Maponyane, Khanya Mkangisa, Skhumba, Moshe Ndiki, Loyiso Gola, Warren Masemola, Mpho Popps, Glen Biderman-Pam, Ebenhaezer Dibakwane, Chris Jaftha, and Mojak Lehoko are the returning guests from season three.
