Crawford Lonehill’s top learners dazzle in new white blazers

A college ‘white’ blazer is one of the highest awards a learner can receive at Crawford International Lonehill, and on February 13, eight learners became recipients of this accolade.

Connor Rea, Katelyn Rose Naidoo, Sohini Pillay, Rhea Malhotra, Sonal Maharaj, Jaime van den Bosch, Asea Posnaikow and Keyur Premjeeth each received a white blazer for their various achievements.
A learner qualifies by achieving senior full-colour awards in at least three of the awards categories (academics, cultural, service and leadership, and sport).

Academic full colours are based on a learner achieving 80% for their year-end promotion mark.

Cultural full colours are presented to a learner who achieves meritorious recognition in an event, exhibition or performance at a provincial or national level, or locally of a very prestigious nature. Consideration may also be given to a learner who achieves prominence over three years.

Service full colours are awarded to learners to recognise selflessness in their support and concern for a cause. It recognises the qualities of leadership, initiative, and commitment to the long-term goals of a formal programme. It requires tangible input to an activity serving the needs or furthering the aims of a meritorious nature over at least three years.

Sport full colours are awarded to a learner who is of provincial quality. A perfect attendance record at practices and matches is a requirement and the learner must have represented the school at a first-team level in at least 80% of fixtures. A learner’s conduct must always be a credit to the school.

Crawford International Lonehill is incredibly proud of these learners for their exceptional hard work in achieving these accolades while upholding the values of the school.
