Paulshof plays host to a tribute concert for the late South African jazz musician, Hugh Masekela

The late trumpeter and jazz musician, Hugh Masekela’s music was honoured by local artists at Off the Grid in Paulshof.

Off the Grid in Paulshof once again played host to community members for a live show of up-and-coming local artists.
The concert on the sunny weekend was a tribute to the late South African trumpeter and ‘father of South African jazz’ Hugh Masekela whereby musician Sandile Masilela and his band mates.

Photo: Khomotso MakgabutlaneAfter a short interval, Masilela performed his own music that is a mix of jazz and afro soul that allowed attendees to chill grooving to the tunes.
Attendees got down to the various music played live.
