Henri cognac tasting a treat with the locals

Norman Goodfellows was the centre of various Henri cognacs for the Fourways community to try.

Henri Distillery introduced their pre-mixed cognac drink to Fourways locals and cognac lovers at Norman Goodfellows.

Cognac welcome drinks offered to attendees included ginger and apple flavourings and welcoming guests, director of the distillery David Dias said the drink had only been on the market since last year March and there was more on the horizon.

“What is very interesting is that we are the first company to pre-mix the drink, which I know, to many fans of the drink, they’d turn their noses up at the thought. When everything was in discussion with the cognac bureau in France on how we could do this, we had some uptight French guys who looked at me like I was insane,” he said.

Money made from the ticket sales for the event was donated to the Just in Time Baby Sanctuary based in Roodepoort.
The Fourways Review journalist Khomotso Makgabutlane attended the tasting to capture the new flavours presented to the community as they indulged in chocolate and food pairings.
