Fourways Crossing develops Back to School Future Funds initiative to help local school learners

Learners at Witkoppen Primary School begin their school year with new school shoes thanks to Fourways Crossing’s Back to School Future Funds initiative.

A Fourways shopping centre donated a number of new school shoes to a local school as a part of their community outreach initiative.

The Back-to-School Future Funds initiative started by Fourways Crossing this year saw representatives visit Witkoppen Primary School with 200 pairs of new school shoes as part of their corporate social investment initiative (CSI).

The new pairs of school shoes to be donated to learners at Witkoppen Primary School learners from Fourways Crossing.

The marketing manager at the shopping centre, Smriti Boodrham said the initiative has the goal of giving back to the community and aiding their education and growth. “This initiative is about being able to give back to the future leaders in our country. It allows us to add value to the lives of kids so that it will be a growing curve leading to their future,” she said.

The next date the shopping centre’s initiative will head out into the community is still to be confirmed. Boodrham added that the initiative will be picking a different school or will produce different ways to lend a helping hand to learners and that more projects like this are underway. “Each year going forward, we want to go ahead and add more CSI initiatives like this one that allow us to put our community at the heart of our campaigns.”
