Executive director at Witkoppen Clinic hopes 2023 will bring kindness and happiness to community

Dr Basset added that the facility was looking for funding to install movement sensitive taps, which would help reduce water wastage and ensure we protect this limited resource.

Executive director at Witkoppen Clinic, Dr Jean Bassett said the clinic will continue to make great strides in the community.

Basset said she was hoping that 2023 will brings in more new collaborations to help benefit those who need it most.
“On behalf of Witkoppen Clinic, I would like to wish the staff and the community a happy and healthy New Year. Additionally, I wish that this New Year brings kindness and happiness to all.
“Witkoppen Clinic’s plan of action for 2023 is to source a donor who will sponsor our initiative to ‘Go Green’ at our facility in Fourways. We believe that the responsibility of tackling climate change has become so important, both globally and locally, that we must do our part in saving the environment. The clinic is doing its part to reduce our energy usage by replacing bulbs with energy-efficient bulbs and installing motion-sensor lighting across the clinic.”

She added that the facility was looking for funding to install movement-sensitive taps, which would help reduce water wastage and ensure they protect this limited resource.
“Not only will the Green Initiative help fight climate change, but it will also help save costs, thereby reducing Witkoppen Clinic’s overhead expenses. With cost saving, Witkoppen Clinic would be able to hire additional two or three nurses, and these nurses would be able to see an additional 13 000 patients throughout the year.

“I wish all residents and community members of Fourways and surrounding areas a happy and prosperous New Year in 2023.”
