Sunninghill Ratepayers Association wishes community a prosperous new year

Linda Gildenhuys, chairperson of the Sunninghill Ratepayers Association has high hopes for the new year in the community.

With the new year approaching, the Sunninghill community is looking to maintain a few areas in the community looking to the new year.

Chairperson of the Sunninghill Ratepayers Association, Linda Gildenhuys has a number of aspirations for the community looking to the new year.
“We hope that our residents continue to see value in the work we do in the area and hope that those who are not members realise that the clean, maintained, and secure suburb they live in did not just happen,” she said.

“It happens due to residents who contribute and work towards maintaining it. If we had the membership we should have, we would be able to do so much more and those carrying the burden would be able to contribute less financially.”

Last year had highlights, such as the launch of the Keep Sunninghill Clean campaign, and low points such as the frequent burst water pipes and sewage issues. However, she is hopeful these issues in the community will be addressed.

She concluded by thanking the community for their continued support and wished everyone a restful festive season.
“If they are travelling, please do so safely we are more than just a community, but a family and we need them to come home safely to us,” she said.
