Fourways local Jaci Tibbit collects food items for this year’s Power Towers food drive initiative.

She said the food drive was sparked by the shortage of food in destitute communities during the Covid-19 pandemic. “Helping the destitute is a service that I enjoy immensely and I am very passionate about.”
Tibbit added every year during the December and January holiday season, most charities struggled to provide food for the destitute and there was a decrease in actual donations during this time.

She said all food items collected will be distributed to thousands of families in different communities across the country.
