Douglasdale officers awarded for their services among police in the district

Police officers were awarded medals for their loyalty and service in the force, including 71 officers of Douglasdale Police Station.

Service medals were handed out to members of the South African Police Service including 71 Douglasdale police officers at Rhema Bible Church in Randburg on September 9.

The medal ceremony was part of a parade led by District Commissioner of Johannesburg Major General Max Masha to award members in the district for their loyal and faithful service, according to Gauteng SAPS communication officer Captain Amanda van Wyk.

“Members were bestowed with 30, 20 and 10 years of loyal and faithful service medals respectively. Major General Masha was joined by senior management from SAPS and Johannesburg Metropolitan Police Department on this special occasion,” she said.
