Young Fourways resident brings home medals for her artistic performances in the United States

Fourways resident Giselle Niemand flew the South African flag high after representing her country in the World Championships of Performing Arts in Los Angeles.

Giselle Niemand sings her heart out at the World Championships of Performing Arts in Los Angeles.

A young local singer impressed in the recent World Championships of Performing Arts in Los Angeles, bringing home medals for her artistic performances.

Fourways resident and Brescia House learner Giselle Niemand (12) achieved three medals each for acting and modelling, one for singing and another for Overall Champion of the World for photographic modelling
She had taken part in the South African Championships of Performing Arts in 2020 and secured a place on the South African team to compete in the World Championships in July this year.

“My time in Hollywood was incredible from the moment we landed to checking into our hotel, experiencing the true Hollywood vibe. The excitement set in when all the countries came together for the opening ceremony of the World Championships of Performing Arts where I experienced the true South African ubuntu spirit.

“The competition made me step up my game as the talent was amazing from all over the world. I am really humbled and grateful for what I achieved at the World Championships of Performing Arts in Los Angeles, performing amongst the most talented performers from all over the world,” she said.

Giselle will be heading back to Los Angeles in October as she has been scouted by agents from Disney, Nickelodeon, Eugene Modelling Agency, Artistic Artists, and many other agencies.
“I hope one day I will experience getting my star on the Hollywood walk of fame. I would like to inspire every artist to follow their dreams and enter the South African Championships of Performing Arts as it is an amazing platform and you get amazing opportunities and meet many different amazing people.
