Learners receive inspirational talk from Paralympic, Pieter Du Preez

The learners got to interact with and hold Pieter Du Preez gold medal.

Dainfern College Senior Preparatory was honoured to receive a visit from Paralympian athlete Pieter ‘Supa Piet’ du Preez at an assembly on July 4.

Du Preez gave an inspirational talk about his life and achievements.
He participated as a cyclist, runner and triathlete in the Olympics before being involved in an accident which left him paralysed from the waist down. Du Preez never lost hope and continued chasing his dreams, becoming the first person with tetraplegia to complete an Ironman Triathlon and winning gold in the 2020 Summer Paralympic Games, among many others.

The learners were awed by his talk and even got to hold his gold medal. Dainfern College would like to thank ‘Supa Piet’ for his visit.
