Edu Inc learners excel in cultural activities

Learners at the private school Edu Inc took part in various cultural competitions where they achieved a number of prestigious invitations to national-level tournaments.

Four Edu Inc learners shone brightly in recent cultural competitions.

Two Grade 11 learners – Sam Thorpe and Remmy Nkwezi Ngalwana – and Grade 10 learner Mika Mathebula took part in the South African Championship of Performing Arts Gauteng semi-final auditions on June 25.

All three learners were selected to take part in the championship national rounds that will take place in Rustenburg later this year.
Teacher Samantha Brief said, “The aim is to train our students so that they can make it to the Grand Champions round which will take place in Los Angeles, United States of America.”

Another learner who received praise from the school for a recent cultural achievement is Grade 11 learner Shreya Naik. She was selected for the national round for her English Reading Festival submission at the South African Literacy Association competition.
Another teacher at Edu Inc, Sharné van Schalkwyk, said the school believes in creating opportunities for learners to realise their goals,
‘to compete in a way that is healthy and constructive so that they can develop into thriving 21st-century global citizens.

“We are so proud of our students and what they have accomplished in braving the cold and their nerves. We wish them the very best in these competitions.”
