WATCH: Diepsloot community leaders and ministers discuss recent violent protests
After a brief disruption, the meeting is still underway at the Dieplsoot Youth Centre while the community members are waiting for feedback.
Minister of Police Bheki Cele, Minister of Home Affairs Dr Aaron Motsoaledi and Gauteng Premier, David Makhura are currently locked in a meeting with community leaders at the Diepsloot Youth Centre, on March 8.
The purpose of the meeting is to address the recent violent protests that started on Wednesday, March 6 with community members blocking roads and burning tyres. As a result, a Zimbabwean national identified as Elvis Nyathi was attacked and killed for allegedly failing to produce his documentation.

The meeting was briefly disrupted after a foreign national entered the meeting. Chaos erupted but SAPS were able to control the situation and safely escorted the man out.
In the video below, an angry resident said they do not want Zimbabweans to attend the meeting.
