Young Fourways model heads for The Big Apple

At just 16 years old Jayden Pohl is already taking the world by storm

Jayden, a young model who was discovered in a Fourways store, has been chosen to participate in the International Modelling and Talent Convention in New York later this year.

According to a press release written by her father Leigh, Jayden, a Fourways local was discovered by talent agency 33andMe at the age of 15 and has since achieved a lot.

She participated in the International Arts Talent showcase which was hosted at Silverstar Casino in Krugersdorp last year. This annual event gives individuals an opportunity to showcase their talent in singing, acting and modelling in front of international adjudicators such as Nate Butler of America’s Got Talent and X-Factor, and Kamey Butler, a Netflix head of Global Brand Designs Programmes.

Jayden competed as both an actress and a ramp model, and her performances caught the attention of the adjudicators. She was awarded with a scholarship for the prestigious American Musical and Dramatic Academy.
The talented model who attends school at Curro Aurora said, “I’m excited for the new experience, meeting new people, getting international experience and seeing New York.”

But this journey did not come easy as she had to undergo vigorous training for several months where she learned to perfect her skills.

Jayden is described by her father as ‘a one-of-a-kind’ who is determined and insistent on getting what she sets her mind to.

The young star continues to train with 33andMe and hopes to walk the runway and become a working actor alongside other famous stars.
