Ward 96 councillor Rufus Maswazi encourages residents to report service delivery issues to his office

RIVERSIDE VIEW – Ward 96 councillor, Rufus Maswazi said he was happy that residents will finally have peaceful rainy days after a storm water pipe was cleared.

Residents of Riverside View will now have peaceful rainy days after the blockages were removed from the stormwater pipe in front of the Block 28 residential complex.

Executive member of Riverside View Residents Association Mogomotsi Morake said the blockage has caused havoc in people’s houses and residents had to wake up at night when it was raining to sweep water that flooded into their houses.

“We’ve been having this problem for some time now. Every time it was raining, residents had to fight water that was flooding into their houses.

“Most of these people on the ground floor of this block are elders or people living with disabilities. Residents reported the matter to us and to the councillor to help them have stormwater blockage resolved.”
