Between January 28 and 30, seven police stations in the Johannesburg district, Douglasdale, Diepsloot, Randburg, Honeydew, Linden, Florida and Roodepoort reported the arrests of 121 suspects.
Captain Mpho Tshetlhane, spokesperson of Douglasdale Police Station said, “The crimes ranged from business robbery, house robbery, sexual assault, GBH, illegal possession of ammunition, possession of suspected stolen property, possession of drugs, possession of illegal mining equipment, dealing in drugs, shoplifting, drunk and driving and dealing in liquor without a licence.”
The suspects will soon appear in the Randburg and Roodepoort magistrates’ courts.
