Police open a murder docket after the body of a boy was found on N14 highway

Police have opened a case of murder after the body of a seven-year-old boy was found on the N14 highway next to Total Petroport in Diepsloot on December 13.

It is alleged that the boy’s father tossed his son out of a moving car.

Gauteng police spokesperson Colonel Dimakatso Sello said a complaint came through at about 22:10 and on arrival at the scene, the boy’s body was found ‘with multiple injuries’.

“The police were called to a scene on Monday, 13 December and found the body of a seven-year-old boy lying next to the road. According to reports, the father allegedly tossed the child out of a moving vehicle. The circumstances surrounding the incident are yet to be established as police investigation continues.”
