Ward 94 councillor David Foley wishes residents a Merry Christmas and safe festive season

FOURWAYS– Foley said the support of residents toward each other was evident among Ward 94 residents in 2021.

Ward 94 councillor David Foley penned down his heartfelt message, wishing residents of his ward a jubilant festive season and Merry Christmas.

Foley used his festive message to appeal and encourage members of the community who were not vaccinated against Covid-19 to consider getting jabs to protect themselves and their loved ones against the deadly virus.

“Firstly, I would like to thank you for having the confidence in me, to re-elect me in the November 2021 municipal elections with an overwhelming majority, I will certainly try to serve you to the best of my ability,”

“What a year it has been, the year has simply flown by with varied lockdown levels being reduced and everyone almost getting back to a new normal although we still need to maintain all the Covid-19 protocols with the new variant – Omicron. If you have not been vaccinated either with the one or the two doses, please may I ask you to consider it,” he said.

“What is very evident in Ward 94 is the camaraderie and support of the residents toward each other through the various resident associations who really make a difference in the general upkeep of the suburbs, this is certainly an ongoing highlight of the year.”

He thanked the police and the Community Police Forums from the various sectors in Douglasdale and Midrand, who make it their mission to assist the residents and ensure that communities’ safety is priority.

“Just note, if you see a problem, please report it to the government authorities as part of your good civic duty.”
