Trio sentenced for Paulshof burglary

PAULSHOF – The crime that took place on June 9 now sees the three suspects imprisoned for two years.


Following a case of burglary that took place in Paulshof on June 9, three suspects aged between 28 and 36 have been handed a two-year direct imprisonment sentence by the Alexandra Magistrates’ Court.

Mpumelelo Bhebhe, Mpofu Silas and Roger Mashaba were arrested on June 10 by police with the assistance of the Sandton CPF and Seccurezza.

Spokesperson for Sandton police Captain Bheki Xulu said the suspects were found in possession of stolen property which included a firearm and ammunition.

“A job well done by the investigating officer, Sergeant Aubrey Tshisane, who worked hard to make sure that the court proceedings were taken care of in terms of witness statements and other requirements for this quick sentencing process,” he said.

The community is urged to work with the police in order to eliminate crime activities within the Sandton area.
