Douglasdale police officers are investigating a business robbery that took place on 17 April that left one person dead.
It is alleged that around eight armed men entered a liquor store in Broadacres in the evening and ordered everyone to lie face down on the ground before demanding money.
Captain Mpho Tshetlhane, spokesperson for the police said one suspect allegedly shot the store manager in the upper body who died at the scene.
“The suspects then took an undisclosed amount of money from the tills and the safe before they fled from the scene. The police were informed about the incident. The paramedics certified the victim dead at the scene,” Tshetlhane said.
No arrests have been made and investigations were still ongoing.
