Functional kidneys are essential for a healthy body. They are responsible for filtering waste products and impurities from the blood. The toxins are stored in the bladder and removed during urination. Kidneys regulates pH, salt and potassium levels in the body.

Renal Dialysis is a process whereby machines replace the function of your kidneys to remove toxins in your body. Renal Dialysis occurs in patients with advanced chronic kidney disease or kidney failure.  Life Fourways Hospital offers an 8 station dialysis unit dedicated to the treatment of chronic kidney disease.
