Great Reddam House Waterfall results as Class of 2020 fetches results

WATERFALL – Greg Theron, executive head for Reddam House Waterfall said he is incredibly proud of the Class of 2020.

The atmosphere was joyful at Reddam House Waterfall on 19 February as the Class of 2020 fetched their results.

Learners were pleased that they have triumphed under the harshest of circumstances brought by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Executive campus head, Greg Theron, applauded the learners for striving through the most difficult of times and added that though they were concerned about marks dropping, the learners never let them or themselves down. “We were a bit concerned with Covid-19, we weren’t sure how that was going to impact the results coming through but when we saw the results we were very pleased with them and we are very proud of the students, they have done us proud.”

In the top 10 at the school, was Reuben Klopper who achieved eight distinctions in English, Afrikaans, maths, history, music, physical sciences, advanced programme English and life orientation.

Reuben said he felt good and there was a lot of relief in him. “It was a long year with a lot of studying but it was good.” He added that with Covid-19 and online school it was very different from previous years.

Nakeisha Reddy, who also got distinctions in all of her subjects, said she felt ecstatic and shocked but her hard work and persistence paid off despite the challenges.

Nakeisha added that though she did well it was not that easy and it took a lot of hard work and persistence. “I started wearing glasses because my eyes were getting affected by the computer screen.”

She concluded with the advice that one should follow their own method of study which they are comfortable with to see prosperity.

Denis Klopper, Reuben’s father, congratulated his son saying that he was proud of him. “He has worked very hard, it just shows that when you work very hard you get results.”
