Reddam Waterfall overjoyed with matric results

WATERFALL – Greg Theron, executive head for Reddam House Waterfall said he is incredibly proud of the class of 2020.

The Class of 2020 matriculants at Reddam House schools in South Africa achieved a 100 per cent pass rate in the Independent Examinations Board (IEB) national examinations.

The three Reddam House schools in Gauteng delivered above average results across the board. A total of 169 learners completed the IEB exams, achieving 352 distinctions between them. Seventeen learners achieved seven or more distinctions and seven achieved six.

Thirty-seven learners achieved an A-aggregate and 90 achieved an A- or B-aggregate, with 38 ranking in the top one per cent of IEB candidates per subject nationally. Reddam House Waterfall matriculants obtained a total of 92 subject distinctions, with 10 students achieving four or more distinctions.

Reuben Klopper earned eight, and Katja van Dyk, Kaela Kokkas, Nakeisha Reddy, and Rahul Nundlall each achieved seven distinctions. The school’s top achiever is Reuben Klopper who obtained eight distinctions for maths, English, Afrikaans, history, music, physical sciences, advanced programme English and life orientation.

Executive campus head, Greg Theron, applauded the learners for striving through the most difficult of times and added that though they were concerned about marks dropping, the learners never let them and themselves down.

“We were a bit concerned with Covid-19, we weren’t sure how that was going to impact the results coming through but when we saw the results we were very pleased with them and we are very proud of the students, they have done us proud.”
