Mall helps donate half a ton of blankets and clothing to those in need

FOURWAYS – The clothing and blanket parcels were donated to two local NPOs.

A local mall has collected blankets and clothing to donate to two non-profit organisations in Fourways. Fourways Crossing donated about 50 parcels to Daily Bread and Bags Of Love, and decided to do even more to give back to the less fortunate. Angelisa Gengan, the marketing manager for Fourways Crossing, said from the end of May to the 24 June, Fourways Crossing encouraged shoppers to clean out their closets and donate pre-loved blankets and winter clothing. “The community’s support was overwhelming and Fourways Crossing was able to donate over half a ton of blankets and winter clothing to Diepsloot residents and surrounding areas. All items were thoroughly dry cleaned before they were handed over to the recipients. “We take this opportunity to thank our shoppers for their ongoing and valued support, and assure you that we are committed to playing our part in preventing the spread of Covid-19.” She added that the wearing of face masks, covering both your nose and mouth, was a requirement for everybody accessing the centre.
