ICYMI: Two suspects arrested for possession of stolen goods worth R3 million

KYA SANDS – The suspects are expected to appear in the Randburg Magistrates' Court to answer to charges of possession of stolen goods.

Police arrested two suspects in possession of suspected stolen property worth R3 million in Kya Sands on the evening of 7 July.

According to Gauteng police spokesperson Captain Kay Makhubele, Douglasdale police acted swiftly after receiving information related to suspected stolen property.

Upon arrival at the scene, police found containers loaded with boxes filled with hospital equipment as well as another container loaded with BMW parts.

Makhubele said two suspects were found loading the suspected stolen goods onto a truck and they were unable to account for the items.

They were arrested, charged with possession of suspected stolen property and will appear in the Randburg Magistrates’ Court soon.

Police have commended the collaboration between the community and the police that led to this success.
