These adorable animals from Ark are looking for a home

CHARTWELL – Here are three playful canine pals currently up for adoption from the Ark Animal Centre in Chartwell.

Three dogs, all aged about two years, are up for adoption from the Ark Animal Centre this week.

Ark is situated in the Chartwell area and is a shelter that cares for canines in need, with a particular focus on pregnant dogs and puppies. Besides rescuing dogs in need, the non-profit organisation also provides veterinary care to sick and injured animals and works to re-home them into forever families.

Hutch is a two-year-old Pekingese-cross Jack Russell male. An absolute character, Hutch is a very active dog with lots of energy, loves to play and gets along well with other dogs.

People who wish to adopt a dog are asked to visit the shelter premises to meet the animal, fill in an adoption application and submit to reference checks as well as a home check if they are a first-time dog owner. For puppies there is an adoption fee of R1 500 (which includes their first two inoculations, de-worming, the placement of a microchip and sterilisation). For dogs over one-year-old, the adoption fee is R950 (includes all inoculations, rabies, de-worming and sterilisation).

Jackie is a two-year-old Jack Russell female. A loving and energetic girl, Jackie is full of love both for other dogs and for humans.
