41-year-old biker left seriously injured in Douglasdale collision

DOUGLASDALE – Russel Meiring from the communications office of ER24, said when ER24 and Life Healthcare Paramedics arrived on the scene at 4.35pm, they found the two bikes on the side of the road.


Yesterday afternoon, 17 March, two motorcycles collided outside a complex on Bellairs Drive in Douglasdale.

In the collision, a 41-year-old man was left seriously injured.

Russel Meiring from the communications office of ER24, said when ER24 and Life Healthcare paramedics arrived on the scene at 4.35pm, they found the two bikes on the side of the road.

“Paramedics assessed one biker and found that he had sustained a significant injury to his leg and was in a serious condition. The man was treated for his injuries and provided with pain-relief medication before he was transported to Life Fourways Hospital for further care,” explained Meiring.

Local authorities were present at the scene for further investigations.
