A day out is for the dogs

PAULSHOF – A day of golf really is for the dogs at this year's SA Guide-Dogs Association, which will take place on 21 March.


The South African Guide-Dogs Association (GDA) has a great day of golf coming up where the public can help support the organisation.

Located in Paulshof, the GDA trains working dogs that will one day become guide dogs for the visually impaired, autism support dogs for children who are neuroatypical or support dogs for adults with disabilities. The College for Orientation and Mobility within the association, which teaches the visually impaired how to navigate the world without a guide dog with skills like walking with a cane. This event will help the association fund their work.

Happening on 27 February at the Silver Lakes Golf Club in Pretoria, this annual golf event will get you into the swing of things while you support a good cause as funds will go towards training and caring for working dogs. A four-ball will cost you R2 000, to sponsor a hole will cost R2 500 while a combo of the two will be R4 000.
