Man left seriously injured after being knocked off his bicycle
FOURWAYS – ER24 said the injured man was transported to Helen Joseph Provincial Hospital for urgent care.
ER24 paramedics arrived at a scene to find a man, believed to be in his 20s, critically injured after being knocked off his bicycle by an SUV on 23 January around midday at the intersection on Witkoppen Road and Kingfisher Drive in Fourways.
Spokesperson for ER24 Russel Meiring said the man and his bicycle were lying in the middle of the road, the SUV pulled off to the side of the road. “Medics assessed the man and found that he had sustained numerous injuries and was in a critical condition.”
He added that the man was treated on the scene and transported to Helen Joseph Provincial Hospital for urgent care.
Authorities were on the scene to conduct further investigations.
