Business and beauty meet at monthly women’s event in Fourways

FOURWAYS – Businesswomen meet at Hirsch Fourways for their monthly networking dinner.

Local and aspiring entrepreneurs recently got together at Hirsch’s Fourways for their monthly women in a business networking event.

Margaret Hirsch, the chief operating officer for Hirsch’s home stores and anti-ageing guru, as well as the Gauteng winner of the Margaret Hirsch Woman In Business Achiever competition, Doctor Tamara Pheiffer, spoke to the women on how to age happily.

Hirsch started off the morning talking about the importance of one’s mindset and how choosing to be positive instead of negative, keeps you younger for longer. Margaret also shared some of the success stories from the women in business groups around the country. Pheiffer kept the crowd’s attention when she spoke about the different factors that influence our age and mindset, explaining that apart from a healthy diet and exercise, we underestimate the importance of laughter. “Make small changes to laugh every day, when you get cut off in traffic, smile at them and wish them well,” she explained.

“In studies done, it showed that people who laughed more lived longer.” Business and beauty meet at monthly women’s event in Fourways The networkers were given the opportunity to showcase their products and introduce themselves and their businesses. This was followed by a lucky draw, networking, sharing of business cards and enjoying refreshments.
