Please seek information after cyclist’s death

DOUGLASDALE – Douglasdale police are appealing to the public for information regarding a road accident which killed a cyclist on 19 August.


The police in Douglasdale are looking for information that can help with an investigation of a case of culpable homicide which took place on 19 August at about 5am at the intersection of William Nicol Drive and Broadacres Road in Dainfern.

It is alleged that a white sedan vehicle with unknown registration hit a 37-year-old cyclist from behind and the vehicle never stopped.

The cyclist was certified dead at the scene. He was later identified by his family.

A case of culpable homicide has been opened at Douglasdale Police Station and investigations are continuing.
