Are you ready for FarmFest this weekend?
RIVERSANDS – The first-ever Funtasy FarmFest is coming to Riversands Farm Village, so get down there on 31 August and 1 September for big doses of fun, food, friends and good times.
A mischievous melting pot of music, arts, party and people…Come and play.
Set on the rolling hills of Riversands Farm Village, from 31 August to 1 September, you are invited to enjoy a weekend of farm fun, wacky wonders, crafty brews, live music, crazy curated costume competitions and lucky draws from lady luck. And as the temperature falls, ours keeps on rising. An atmosphere that’s slowly but surely been stirring, you’ll find the people and party, positive and purring.
So kick back, cut loose – and come play.
If you are a bit of a bar fly and find you wish to fold your wings, sit back and relax, there is a musical line-up to get that costume tailored toe tapping while you sip your craft brew. Zorb water balls will be rolling across the dam with larger than life inflatables from Gjiga to keep the kids busy, but if you are like us, you are also welcome to have a go.
The organisers literally have a bucket full of incredible prizes for the Best Funtasy FarmFest Personality and Cosplay entries. A lampshade as a hat to full fantasy dress is on the cards for the day, no matter how big or small, you can’t go wrong.
Prizes include meal vouchers from popular restaurants and eateries in the area as well as jewellery, hampers, tickets to Halloween – the Haunted Forest and more.
There are also three exciting raffles which will go on sale on the weekend of 24 and 25 August, with prizes on offer including a weekend away at the luxurious Lapalala Lodge in the Waterberg Limpopo province. Value of the prize is estimated at around R50 000. Raffle tickets go on sale on 25 August at Riversands and the draw for this will be on Sunday 20 October. Raffle tickets cost R50 per ticket, Other prizes include an Action Coach Private Coaching course worth R12 500, an amazing prize for business owners to expand their business horizons.
Also look out for a lineup of awesome performers over the two days – including Rock Dogs, Chezelle Shahadat, The Vinylists, Black- Back Jackals, Jody Mahew – as well as quizzes for the whizzes.
