Four people injured in a two-vehicle collision

DAINFERN – One of the people involved in the collision was found to be in a critical condition.

According to ER24, four people were left injured this morning (2 August) following a two-vehicle collision at the William Nicol and Lombardy Road intersection in Dainfern.

Spokesperson for ER24, Russel Meiring said that ER24 paramedics, along with other services, arrived at the scene at 4.40am to find one light motor vehicle parked on the side of the road while a second vehicle was found at the bottom of an embankment against a wall.

“On closer inspection, medics found a man lying inside the light motor vehicle in a critical condition. Three other patients, from the same vehicle, were assessed and found to have sustained minor to moderate injuries” said Meiring.

Meiring also said that paramedics carefully extricated the man from the vehicle, treated all the patients and provided the critically injured man with advanced life support interventions.

Once treated, the patients were transported to a nearby private hospital for further care.

The details surrounding this incident are not yet known but local authorities were on the scene for further investigation.
