Deppe reflects on elections in Waterfall

FOURWAYS – Voting results in Fourways Ward 132 are done and dusted.

Wednesday 8 May will forever be marked as a historic day in South Africa as citizens took part in the country’s sixth democratic elections.

Residents of Ward 132 also came out in numbers to make their mark in the elections. Speaking to the Fourways Review, ward councillor Annette Deppe said, “The elections went well and I have to applaud everyone who came to vote. People were excited to stand in the queues.”

Reddam House Waterfall was met with a lot of residents who weren’t registered to vote at the station, which delayed the voting procedure. Deppe said that about 650 people who voted at Reddam weren’t registered to vote there. Because these voters had to fill out IEC forms, the queue was longer and slower here.
