Brand Summit heads to Jozi
JOHANNESBURG – After a successful inaugural event in Cape Town, Johannesburg will now host the summit for the next three years until 2021.
Brand Summit successfully hosted their first-ever event in May 2018, and this year they do it all over again but instead hosting it in the City of Cape Town, they are heading up to Johannesburg.
Now partnering with the City of Johannesburg, Public Relations Institute of Southern Africa (Prisa) and City Nation Place, the city will be the host for the next three years until 2021. The 2019 Brand Summit will be hosted in Bryanston at The Forum, from 6–7 June.
Summit convenor Solly Moeng said, “Much of the content of the summit’s programme revolves around issues of country brand/destination reputation management, which include public relations and communication management, stakeholder engagement, reputation management, destination marketing strategies best practice, etcetera. Professionals in all these areas of activity have a lot to contribute and to learn from the planned discussions.”
The itinerary for this year include a keynote address by the much-respected Kenyan Professor Patrick Loch Otieno Lumumba, CEO of South Africa (SA) Tourism, Sisa Ntshona, panel discussions of national branding and a new feature this year, ‘Leaders of The Future’, influential speakers under the age of 35 who will share their views about and expectations of South Africa, the country’s brand and how it fits in the global and regional dynamics.
