The domestic workers who took part in the most recent networking meeting discuss their hopes and dreams for the future after an inspirational talk by Samu Gumbie.

On 24 January, Hirsch’s Fourways held the first domestic network meeting of the year, inviting local social media celebrity, Samu Gumbie – the mom-preneur – to speak to the domestic network about vision boards.

Gumbie introduced the concept of a vision board, as well as why and how to draw one up.

Hirsch’s Sharron Dingle, who has since left the Hirsch’s family, said, “She [Gumbie] explained how vital it is to put our dreams, goals and aspirations onto paper and how it is the only way to ensure that you can achieve it. The ladies were then tasked with drawing one up and sending it to her.

“They took this a step further and spent some time telling each other about their dreams and how they plan to get there. This was a great encouragement to them all and we are expecting wonderful things of them this year.”
