Cedar Lakes, Steyn City, parts of Chartwell and Farmall without water due to leaks
FOURWAYS – Johannesburg Water is yet to give an estimated time of restoration.
Johannesburg Water has this afternoon, 6 December, warned that the Randburg depot located a broken 160mm valve in Cedar Lakes.
On Twitter, the water entity said they would isolate water for Cedar Avenue West, Cedar Lakes and Cedar Creek this afternoon in a bid to repair the valve.
“Water tanks will be refilled during the outage,” said the tweet.
No estimated time of restoration could be given at this stage.

Meanwhile, the depot also closed water for Steyn City as there was a leak on the newly installed valve, the water entity said on Twitter. Farmall, Chartwell and Steyn City were all without water as a result.

This follows after an unplanned interruption disrupted much of Fourways’ water supply yesterday, 5 December.
