Mrs SA finalist and Fourways resident keeps things green

FOURWAYS – This is why keeping the environment green is of great importance to Fourways resident and Tammy Taylor Mrs South Africa finalist.

Caring for the environment is a top priority for Tammy Taylor Mrs South Africa finalist, Adele Koolen who’s part of the MPact recycling campaign.

The campaign sees Koolen and other finalists helping to keep our planet green as well as helping schools and community projects with their fundraising initiatives.

Koolen’s recent school and community initiative was at Bryanston High School as she educated the schoolchildren about the importance of recycling and the benefits it has on the environment. “I also handed badges and certificates the school’s recycling ambassadors. The school is in the running for the schools’ recycling competition which is hosted yearly by MPact and at the time of print was in first place with over 15 tonnes of paper recycled.”

Koolen also visited Wesley Preschool, which forms part of Bryanston Methodist Church. “The children were extremely happy to have Ronnie Recycler there and each child received a recycling badge. You can also get involved with recycling initiatives in the community by dropping paper at local small community projects and schools.”
