DOUGLASDALE – Douglasdale CPF has elected its interim exco.

The Douglasdale Community Policing Forum (CPF) interim executive committee (exco) has restructured its portfolios and is set to continue working on engagement with the community until the CPF AGM takes place and a permanent exco is elected.

According to their Facebook page post, sectors 1, 3 and 4 remain to have operational sector committees in place and extensive work is still underway with the community to conclude a committee in Sector 2 whereby the AGM shall then be scheduled.

These are the elected members:

• Chairperson: Margaret van Zwieten

• Deputy chairperson: Jonathan Tite

• Treasurer: Desigan Pillay

• Secretary: Sandra Mabuto

• Deputy secretary: Madeleine Bruckmann

• Public relations officer: Freda Boiles

• Trauma consultant: Carol Badenhorst

• NHW consultant: Donne Oosthuizen.

The post stated that the Douglasdale CPF interim exco would like to take the opportunity to thank Neil Hays for his many hours of work and effort that he gave while serving as the interim chairperson on the Douglasdale CPF. “His efforts have greatly assisted those serving on committees and ensured that much-needed work has always had the community interest at the forefront, support from police stakeholders and support of the committees.”

The CPF thanked Hays for volunteering his time and knowledge and wished him and his family all the best on their new ventures.

“Remember SA will always be your home and we will always welcome you back to the DD CPF upon your return.”

Stakeholders are invited to the public meeting on 17 October from 6pm to 8pm at the Indaba Hotel.
