Probus learns about the scale of the universe at a talk in Paulshof
PAULSHOF – Alan Samson spoke about our place in space and the scale of things when he was invited to address the Probus Club of the North recently.
Guest speaker Alan Samson meets Probus Club of the North member George Browse when he gave a talk at the German Country Club in Paulshof.
Samson, an analyst programmer, member of Eads (a dramatic society based in Edenvale) and singer titled his talk Our place in space and the scale of things.
He spoke about the size of earth in relation to the planets, the sun, stars and galaxies in the universe.
To add to the impact of the talk all the illustrations were accompanied by appropriate music. Members of Probus left the luncheon with a better understanding of space.
