Four suspects cuffed on William Nicol Drive after ‘robbing victim of Rolex watch’

FOURWAYS - The arrests comes just days after four suspects were arrested on Leslie Avenue after a house robbery.

After Twitter was abuzz with images of suspects being cuffed on William Nicol Drive in Fourways yesterday, 15 September, it has been confirmed that four suspects were arrested.

The SA Police Service tweeted, “Four suspects arrested by Provincial Trio Task Team after they allegedly robbed a victim of a Rolex watch and ring in Germiston.”

The police said that members ‘acted swiftly’ and traced the suspects to Fourways along William Nicole Drive, where they arrested the suspects.

“Four firearms and balaclavas found in vehicle,” said police.

It is unclear whether the stolen goods were recovered.

The Ask the Chief JMPD Facebook page also confirmed that four suspects were cuffed and that Metro police freeway officers also played a role in the arrest, along with the SA Police Service.

“This is an example of great team work,” read the post.
