Meet Rotary Club of Kyalami’s president

KYALAMI – Peter Rokitta has been inducted as the president of the Rotary Club of Kyalami and looks forward to serving his community during the year ahead.

Peter Rokitta has been inducted as the new president of the Rotary Club of Kyalami.

This is the third time he has served in the role, and his induction was held at the German Country Club in Paulshof on 22 June.

“My objective for the year is to increase membership, fellowship and fun [at the club]. I also want to encourage young people to become Rotarians and enable them to understand and participate in serving the community.

“Our club is a ‘rainbow club’ and has a mix of genders and cultures, thereby representing the ideal mix to promote the ideas of Rotary.”

Peter Rokitta was inducted as the president of the Kyalami Rotary Club in June.

Rokitta will serve for the 2018/2019 year and will concentrate on community projects, including:

• The Tembisa Hearing Project, which came our way through the Entheos Audiology Cooperation, USA.

• Rotary Family Health Days

• Alexandra Library

• Witkoppen Clinic

• Grafing Youth Orchestra from Germany.
